And it is worth making note that no everyone is having this problem. I
for one have had no issues of this nature. I have some suspicions, but
no practical way to test my theory.

I have tried to make this problem happen on 2 of my Macs and I have
not had a problem like this. I have no problems with writing or
replying to messages with Safari installed. Try as I might, I cannot
duplicate this problem.

I just attempted to produced this error to no avail. I did notice
however the bong sound when I tried to move up and down with the arrow
keys but I could still write text.
I am using webkit, would that make a difference?
