Tim - I can see how changing a doc file to docx, and then attempting to open
the file in MS Word or another word processing app could corrupt a file. The
same may be true for other file types and applications.
Always best to proceed with caution.

Hi Brad,
In 99% of the cases, I expect that you're right. I have had colleagues damage
files in the past though, thus the caution. Most of these were word processing
files that people were attempting to make a .DOC or .DOCX file from another
format if I remember correctly, so this is why I us
Tim,
I don’t think changing the file extension will damage the file, but it
definitely does not change the file’s format and the file will not work.
I think if one does change a file’s extension, the file extension can be
changed back to the original extension, and all is as it was in the beginn
Hi,
No. You cannot change the extension from m4a to MP3. That could damage the file
and make it unusable, and that will not change it to an MP3 anyway. You will
need a converter to change to MP3.

Thank you. I had to read the instructions a couple of times. I have the App and
have done a test recording. I see my test recording has a .M4A extension. Is it
safe to rename .M4a to .Mp3?

Hi,
Wouldn't say "expert". Just "experienced" instead. I also seem to have a
knack for understanding where people might be going wrong. I believe that
Angus was just having difficulty knowing what to do to actually perform the
purchase.

Thanks Tim. Sounds like the same as the US AppStore experience.

New I should have waited for the expert to reply, I might keep your email
anyway incase there is something I want from the App store one day. I’ve never

Have you interacted with the results? Once I’ve typed in my search and pressed
enter it tells me No results selected, but as soon as I press V O shift down
arrow it will give me the results.

Hi,
When using the Canadian Mac App Store on your Mac, the app "Just Press Record"
is indeed there and is $6.99 CAD. Do the following to download and install if
you wish.
1. Open the Mac App Store.
2. Press cmd-f to bring focus to the Search field.
3. Enter "press record".
That's close eno
That is strange. I have always found the Mac AppStore to be accessible using
VoiceOver.
If you find the price, place focus on it and press VO + SHIFT to initiate a
purchase. You will need to repeat this action to confirm that you really want
to make a purchase.

I am using the Canadian App Store and VoiceOver will not select anything. Using
sited assistance will only select Screenshots.

I just check in the Mac AppStore and Just Press Record is there. Of course, I

I like Just Press Record. You can use it on a Mac, iPhone or an iPad.
You can record on your Mac or iDevice and the recording file will show up in a
folder in your iCloud drive, where you can get it and attach it to an email or
do whatever you need to do with it.
You may have to pay for the app,
Someone else might be able to answer this as I’ve never done it, but I did see
an app on the Mac called Voice Memos. Maybe you could use that and attach the
voice memo to the email? Like I’ve said, I’ve never done it and not sure wif it
can be done.
