I should add that it was on a Tiger machine in Target Disk Mode from
Leopard. A dangerous mode at best.

Or, if you are adventurous or have a sighted person around, GParted
Live CD. However, I'd use IPartition which is $50. It is much safer
because we are sure it does the job. I don't know how VO Friendly it
is, but when you shrink or expand a start-up disk, you can't becau
on.
