After one upgrade I did experience something like this that I was only able to
correct by completely reseting my VO settings in the file menu of VoiceOver
utility.

Try this, and see if this corrects the problem:
1. Go to System Preferences > Accessibility.
2. Select Speech from the Accessibility Features table.
3. Make sure all the boxes in this section are unchecked.
Since you are using VoiceOver, you do not need to use any of these features.
HTH.
Someone may have a better answer, but I think what you want to fix is the
Spoken content under accessibility. Make sure that voice is set to the one you
want, and one of the boxes that should be unchecked is typing feedback.

Hi, Group.
This is the second time that I tried to send an email via Mac. While I was
typing, my typed text was read by two voices. I mean, for instance, my
default voice is Samantha Compact. My typed text by two Samanthas at the
same time. How can I get rid off this double voice, please?
Thanks!
Fazil,
Assuming no changes in the standard views of Mac, the VO-J command should jump
you from the list of e-mail messages to the currently selected message or
thread. If you are in threaded mode, the message where the VO cursor should be
is the first unread message of the thread.

Hi, Group.
Other day, I was able to send my first ever message in Mac successfully.
Today I received my first ever email in Mac. Somehow I was able to read it
first time, however, on my subsequent visit to Mail Program, I could not
find it to read.
What is a reliable method to read en email messa
Hi allea
Is anyone else having any problems reading complete emails on their phone since
the iOS 11 update? I am using an iPhone 7 with iOS 11.2, I have not yet
installed the iOS 11.3 I see came out yesterday.
My exact issue seems to be that with many emails I can get the first few lines

It seems like the verbosity setting for Voiceover effects whether or not mail
is read automatically when you press Enter on a message.
On my machine, when verbosity is set to medium, messages are read automatically.

I have to press vo a. The VO j only says interact with text but nothing else.
I don't know what to do.
Any help would be appreciated,

When you're on the message list, why not just hit control+option+j whenever you
want to read a message? That jumps you to the text for the selected message
and VoiceOver starts reading it. I don't remember how I found out about that
command, but I've been reading messages this way for a while.
Hi,
Just don't touch the keyboard after hitting enter. Yes, you'll hear a scroll
area. Though, VO-W if not interacting with that area works as well. But the
first method would be an auto-read. Personally, I'm glad if there isn't one.
I'll just use these methods.

I don't know what causes it - I haven't got enough computer knowledge
but some people on the list probably do know.

Hi,
That's interesting. I didn't even know of that split-reading. My SL
has never behaved like that, and I always use HTML. What exactly
causes it?

This "split" reading happens in Snow Leopard when the message comes in
the HTML format. To get rid of this annoyance, press the shortcut
command+option+p to change the format to plain text and it will read
fine.
