The XML file type is supported by MS Word 2003, and newer versions.
Can these files be read using MS Word?

There is Thorium reader. It is an app specific to reading many formats

Hi!
EasyReader is free but some subscriptions might cost a bit.
And its not very great for reading braille with either.
VoiceDream has issues on the Mac so you should use the iPad version instead
then I guess.

Hi Simon,
I thought Easy Reader was free unless you need the premium features. I’ve just
checked the App Store and no price is shown for me.
There is also BookPlayer, though it was written for iOS and isn’t verified for
the Mac.

to purchase a subscription.

Try voice Dream. You can purchase the Mac version or try the iPad version.

Hi,
Is there a way of reading DAISY books on the mac M1 chip? I mean reading using
voiceover and a Braille display? I know there’s Dolphin Easy reader but it
requires subscription which is not cheap.
