Well, voices are totally subjective, and I can't speak for other languages, but I'd much rather have US espeak than tom or samantha. To me those voices sound like complete garbage. Every ear is different though. Some of my clients love those voices. Personally I think it will be a grand day

I am not a mac user, but I, too, emailed apple about porting Alex over to the iOS platform since he sounds so much better than Karen or Samantha.
