You have to be in your user's home directory (/Users/yourusername" when you
type that. So if you, say, go to Documents, the folder right above that is your
home folder.

I saved it to /Users/myusername/Library/Application Scripts/VoiceOver/Battery
Status.applescript
The Library folder is hidden, but I usually use command-shift-g to get into the
folder by typing it in.
Anyway, then you set it in your keyboard commander. Go to Voiceover Utilities
-> Comm
Hi folks
How would I install the script somebody posted yesterday to have the battery
read out? I've never done this before on the mac and don't know what to do with
the script file.

This is just my 2 cents but, I often find those battery time estimations to be
totally useless. It depends on what your doing at any given moment what time
remaining you will see. Screen brightness, streaming media, etc. theirs just
so many variables. At least, this is the case for me.
