Hello,
In that version of OSX, in order to select text on web pages, you need to go to
the area where you wish t begin selecting text, then press VO+return. Then,
press VO up and down arrows to move by line and VO+right and left arrows to
move by word. When you are finished, press VO+return t
Well, that explains it. Mountain Lion introduced the easy selection in Safari,
but it is still possible in earlier versions. The process is rather tedious and
involves disabling cursor tracking in some way, but I don't know the details.
Sorry I can't help more.

Hi Zack,
thanks, you nailed it. Not sure how I did that, but yes, somehow it got set to
full screen. All working well now that I've exited full-screen.

Of course, we can also add the fact that aps are so easy to install on the Mac.
I couldn't believe it the first time I installed an ap. I remember thinking,

I did when my sound switched t sound flower for no reason but I found a script
to modify online that will change your sound output at will. I adjusted it and
put it in the voice over keyboard commander.
Take care

Hi,
As far as I can remember, if you really want to compare...the only thing you
can't do on the Mac as a blind person is actually perform the Apple hardware
test (AHD), which is understandable. There are very good reasons for that. Even
so, though, you can get third-party tools that use Termin

Oh, that *is handy. Thanks for clarifying that. (I had kind of wondered why
you would want to be notified about the end time of an event.) :)

Hi,
In fact the first field is a first reminder, you could put that reminder in a
pretty long time ahead of the event, say one or two days ahead. The second
field is a second reminder which you could put in say an hour or earlier ahead
of the event. This is a very, very good feature, methinks.
