If you don't need your Windows machines to see your Mac, then you
don't need to turn on this option. Also, you might try navigating to
smb://WindowsMachineName
where WIndowsMachineName is the name of your windows box. If notthing
else, you might get a error you can look up in the Macintosh help
Try going to the computer window by pressing command shift c. Also, if
you're using windows 7, there are a couple adjustments you need to
make, in particular, disabling the 128 bit encription. Also, be sure
that SMB sharing is enabled in your system preferences.
