Donna,
Now I can definitively confirm this behavior. Dictation is more
reliable when enhanced is off. When its on, yes, there is no indication
it stopped working.

Hi Tim,
Glad to hear that you're having success with dictation in the schools. If I
know it's working for someone, I'll keep messing around with it.

Hi Jessica,
I've only played with this a bit, so my experience is limited, but it has
seemed to help if I continue to hold down the function key once I hear the
dictation chime.

Hi ET,
I also have enhanced dictation enabled. What I've noticed is it starts off
just fine. But then, after a few sentences, it just seems to stop working, and
I haven't been able to make it start working again in that document, once it
has stopped. It doesn't matter what the app or the doc
That's too bad. But I'm glad to know that I'm not doing something wrong (or at
least that others are having the same experience.)

Hi,
Considering that dictation has been around in the MacOS for as long as it has,
I can't see that it's as glitchy as stated. A couple things to consider is the
speed of your Internet connection, whether Enhanced Dictation is enabled or
not, the amount of memory in your Mac, whether you have
I don’t think it’s even so much that, as the fact it’s just glitchy, period.
Perfect example, on my end, I can press the fn key to activate it, and it will
chime to activate, then immediately deactivate before I’ve had a chance to do
anything with it.
Then on those rare instances where I can
I thought I would have a try with this. I have enhanced dictation
enabled. It seems to work ok. Will spend more time with this, maybe with
enhanced dictation disabled.as well.

I am wondering if the program requires you to train it in some way?
That was certainly the case with other such programs I have encountered.
