Well then, what do you do if you decide to cancel your noncontiguous
selection, and just jump your focus down to an item? Just then hit vo+space
on it?
Chris.

How then do you move through the table without moving the selection off the
first item, thus, losing your place?

Actually, the method,
I do happen to be using list view. For me, it's the best and fastest way.

Hi,
I use this with column view without a problem. As mentioned before, you just
want to make sure your interacting with the table or browser in finder. And
make sure you use VO up or down arrow to navigate instead of the arrows by
themselves.

Hi Ray and John
I see one difference in what you have done John from what I did. I am using
column view, and your message said you were using list view. I don't know why
that should make a difference. But when I turned cursor tracking off mine
worked, and when it was on, mine didn't.

Hi Gigi,
I've been successfully able to use vo+command+spacebar to select non-contiguous
items but I always have to interact with the table first in list view in order
to do so. I've never had to select more than 5 to 10 items though so I can't
comment on selecting a great many items.

O
I'm not sure, but it works here with cursor tracking on. Very strange.
However, whatever works, works. So, chalk this up to who knows.

Actually, the method, as of Lion, works with or without cursing tracking on

Hold up though. You forgot something *really!* important about this method.
This only works if cursor tracking is disabled.

selecting noncontiguously from. By the way, also, be sure you're interacting

What kind of trouble are you having? Are you going into selection mode
first with VO-Command-space and then doing that command for each item you want
to select?

Hi guys
I have had a lot of problems using the VO command space option to select
non-continuously. This is both true in finder and elsewhere. Is anybody else
having this trouble?

Hi Alex,
Just to let you know, holding down the shift key and arrowing through is
general way to select (highlight) multiple contiguous items. It works in other
tables, too. You can select multiple files for deletion this way in Finder, or
select multiple tracks in iTunes to use to either cre
VO-cmd-space only gives me the "invalid keypress" tone when I use it on a
message. I am using Mountain Lion with the standard mail view, not the classic
one, if that makes a difference.

awesome work! You can also press vo+command+space to select each message, and
then press cmd+delete to get rid of them as well. :)
