Hi,
Actually, that is not totally true. You can use the Apple TV with your HDMI
connected to your receiver without a TV present. You could then listen to
music, movies and TV shows via your Apple TV connected to the receiver. Other

I have my MacMini hooked up to the home theatre and it sounds great. I
used the digital optical output and run it to the digital optical in on
the receiver. It does all the 5.1 output from DVDs and such as well
although you lose volume control on the mini and have to do that through
the receive
one thing i love about apple TV is that our good speakers are hooked up to our
TV and so I can use my iPhone to listen to my play lists, Pandora, or Songza on
my good speakers through the apple TV through air play.

It may be a good idea for Apple to do for Apple TV what it did for the
IPhone inside of ITunes. If a computer detects Apple Tv and VoiceOver is
running on the computer, then the computer automatically enables VoiceOver
