There are a couple of things you need to do: Go to mail preferences, advanced tab, then check the box that says delete messages from server, below that is another pop up that asks how often to delete the messages. The default isn't immediately so if that's what you want change that setting also

I have a similar problem, except that it has to do with my Macbook Pro. If I check my E-mail on the Macbook, then go to my PC laptop, I get the same E-mail messages all over again. I have the Macbook set to delete messages from the server, but it appears as though this does not happen. Anybod
