Hi, As Herbie said, deleting and reporting as junk isn't very effective in stopping messages from that number. I think all it does is to let Apple and your carrier know you got a junk text but doesn't stop you from receiving texts from that number. The only way I've found to do that is to bloc

Good place to use the item chooser. In the list of threads quadruple tap with three fingers. This should bring up the item chooser and then type "unread" in the search field. If you have a bluetooth keyboard that is paired with the phone, then use control-option-I to start the item chooser.
