Yes, mouse tracking is different. However, if you turn cursor tracking off,
mouse tracking is also off because the VO cursor doesn't move the focus with
it, so this is how to temporarily disable the effects of mouse tracking when
it's required.

Cursor tracking definitely needs to be on as often as possible, but that is
different from mouse tracking. I don't know the technical details, but the two
are different.

Hi, I would seriously suggest you have cursor tracking turned on. It makes life
a million times easier in most situations. You're much better leaving it on,
and turning it off when you need to. I created a keyboard command that is
easier to reach for doing so.

Good to know. Thanks for that. I'll have to figure out a good gesture to use.

What about if you press return to open the menu so that you are keyboard
interacting with it using cursor keys, do you lose all VO navigation then?
You'll have to restart VO to get it back, after closing the window, if you try

I cannot reproduce this. I went to freedom scientific.com and used vo-right to
move through the page. I got to the menu, got past the seven items, and kept
right on going to the slide graphics. I'm on OS10.9.4, if that makes a
difference.
