It could be the Bluetooth might be turned off. And if it came, there should be a connect button. I'm not for sure of the process. As I've never done something like this. Perhaps, you could ask on a Josh related list and somebody might be able to help you. I like the other idea of the patch cable

The easiest way would be to get a patch cord. Plug one end into the Windows laptop and the other end into the Mac. Before doing that, Go to your VO utility and sound and set the default to your speakers, otherwise, you are going to lose sound. After you plug in the cable, go to sounds in System
