You misunderstand.
Sonoma is no longer easily available.
If you want to update, then I am recommending you go ahead and update to
Sequoia.
It is very similar to Sonoma, with no major bugs or side-effects.
What you do is up to you, and I don’t really care.

there is. I’m sorry if this bothers you but it shouldn’t affect you in any way.
I’m not asking you to do it.

You won't find it in either place. It has been super seated by the new version
sequoia.
You may be able to find it if you do a search for it on the web, though I would
recommend you skip it and just go with the latest version. There's no reason in
staying a version behind.

The announcement you are referring to had to do with Remote Incident Manager.
If you are not using this application, then there is no reason not to update.
I have done the update, and find it to be essentially bug free.

I agree. No need to stay a version behind. You are doing yourself a

I’m curious as to where you read that? I also have concerns about the validity
of the source. I have updated and I’ve had no issues.

I read a notice that said not to upgrade to sequoia until further notice. this
kind of thing happens often at the beginning of a new OS. I’d rather not deal
with that kind of stuff but I don’t want to get too far behind either so I move
up right behind the new one.

May as well upgrade to the current OS rather than staying behind. Not much
difference and there’s no real benefit unless you are running an app that won’t
work on a newer OS.

Yes, disassociating the mouse pointer from the VO cursor worked for me with a

Hi,
Open the VoiceOver Utility and select the Navigation category.
Then check that Mouse Pointer is set to "Ignores VoiceOver cursor”.

OK, I just started keyboard help, and I hear nothing when I press the CTRL key.
However, I have been using a Mac with VoiceOver everyday for over 13 years, and
pressing the CTRL key is, and has always been the designated key for pausing
speech when VoiceOver is running.

The VoiceOver key for pausing speech is the Control key.
This has nothing to do with what you have selected as the VO modifier.
While pressing another key may or may not stop speech, is another issue
entirely.
You can test this by enabling Keyboard Help, by pressing VO + K, and pressing
CTRL, to
