Hi David,
I haven't been following this thread, but if your initial problem was not being
able to read your Address Book, and you tried to solve it by creating a new
user account, it sounds to me as though the original problem was that the
preferences for your Address Book got corrupted. A co
Hi David!
I had a look at the preferences in AB!
And the only thing I can suggest is, when in AB open preferences with
command+comma, and go to the tool bar and interact with it!
In there are 5 options one of which is accounts button vo+space bar on that, in
the accounts settings you'll have 2 ta
Hi.
Something new to add here...
I have another user on my Mac, and when I tried logging in whit that one
everything worked well.
I don't want to create a whole new user just becoz of that.
So, where can I find the settings for AB and set to "default" so it
maybe works as it should?
Thanks in
Hi David!
Me again, I do not know either that you know about this or that it will work if
you do not!
I've only discovered this myself and if anyone else reading this does not no ,
this may be of interest to them!
In the address book preferences after interacting with the tool bar, there's an

Hi Colin and rest of ye.
That solution just removes the fields in general.
I will remove a specific field for a specific contact, and that is just
impossible.
A month or so ago, I was able to do so, but a week ago, it wasn't :(
Could there maybe be some settings I've done somewhere?

Hi David!
If you go to the address book preferences with the command [ command+ comma ]
Sit on the tool bar and interact with it, you should be on general, right arrow
to the template button and vo+ spacebar and you should be in the template and
you can remove all kinds of fields in there!

Hi guys, and thanks for all the answers.
Actually nothing of that seems to work for me :(
I can edit contact information as usual, but I can't click the add new
field or remove-button.
Let's say, I have a contact that have 2 mail-adresses. Then I want to
remove one of them since the contact don'

Hi Kawal,
I didn't know about Mobile Me. I forgot about that. I wonder if it's worth
getting it. Is that the ap that lets you add contacts over the air with the
iphone? I tried to add a new contact to the Iphone and it was an adventure :).
I hope you are having a wonderful day.

Hi Alison.
Thanks for your help. I use Mobile Me so whatever I edit is up-to-date over
the air with mobile me. Yes editing contacts can be difficult but practice

Hi Sarah! and others!
It look's like there's a problem!
Sarah are you having the same trouble as me?
I can fill the name ok but phone and email does not speak and some of the other
fields but street and area and country speaks ok!
So you have to muck around getting info into phones and others!

Actually there is something quicker. Just hit cmd cmd k to edit the card once
you are on a contact you want to edit. I have a similar issue but the edit
fields act funny. I have to quit interacting and interact to edit the field I'm
typing in. It is odd.
Good luck.

Hi all!
Also there's a edit check\ uncheck box after the contact information field,
which seems to be always on unchecked, so check it and you can edit all your
cards!
Although Alisons method might be quicker!

Hi Tyler and Kawal,
I just checked my addressbook and I do not seem to have this problem. I
practiced editing a contact and this is what I did.
1. Open addressbook and select the contact you want to edit.
2. Once you find the name of the contact, hit VO shift M.
3. Arrow down to edit and hit en
I have similar issues when using my I phone to edit contacts.
