Hi. That's why I choose to wait until Disk Maker X is no longer a beta. Yes, I
know that it's been covered many times about making a bootable copy of Yosemite
using Terminal, but I'm not comfortable using terminal. I'd rather be in a
Skype call with someone that can walk me through the process t
Actually, Diskmaker X won't create a Yocimity boot media correctly at this
time. The beta tries to, but it fails.
I've tried an it failed, so I resorted to Yosemite's Create install media thing.
For reference the instructions can be found at this URL

I'm running a 2009 MacBook with 4GB of ram.
I have not had a problem with lag,
But when I press command cama to open finder preferences, it says finder
has no windows.
I get the same thing if I choose preferences from the finder menu.
Hi, I get this as well mostly with mail! any fix most welcome using mac mini
4 gb of ram if this helps.

A disk permissions repair is my first thought, as this problem is not universal
and strikes me as a something such a repair will fix.

I have an issue with documents not opening at all when I press command O, and
my TextEdit VO shortcut key is not working. Oddly, when I manually open
Textedit from the apps folder, my document is there. Also, my Macbook Pro15
seems to keep losing my network and thus not being connected to the
If rebooting doesn't help, try repairing permissions. This has worked
for me in the past.
Also resetting PRAM (don't have the instructions for doing the latter with me
right now, but you can google them).
