You are welcome! Put your podcast name in the search field and your episodes
should appear in the table. Interact with the table, find the episode, and
press return to play. I actually closed vlc and reopened it before I searched
but I think that probably isn't necessary.

Thank you. It took me some time to figure things out. I have now subscribed to
a Podcast and now to figure out how to select and play a Podcast.

You don't need the file menu and you don't activate the menu bar.
Choose podcasts from the table, meaning interact with the table and when on
podcasts stop interacting.
Do vo-right arrow until you come to the "subscribe" button. Do vo-space on the
subscribe button.
