I know it works - I use it all the time. Are you sure the change stuck? That is, are you certain the commander points to the new script, and that it didn't somehow revert to the previous (broken) one? > On Feb 24, 2015, at 4:12 PM, The Believer wrote: > > Alex, > I retrieved the script from t

Alex, I retrieved the script from the zip archive and put it in the proper folder and pointed the commander to it. Still does not work. So now I know its not the script itself. Perhaps a setting somewhere? I did enable commanders. From The Believer. . . . . . what if it were true? anci

What's your new script, at least the first few lines, look like? Also, as others have said, it is generally easier to use ~/library/scripts, or somewhere else in your home folder, so you don't run into these password and other permissions problems. > On Feb 24, 2015, at 1:28 PM, The Believer wr

Well I moved the script to another location, edited it and moved it back. This is one of the Talking Dashboard scripts, date and time. I have gone into VO Utilities, Commanders and pointed to this new script. It is not working but I can go back and point to the default timeofday script

My guess is he needs to change the owner of the file. If you do an ls -l on files in both locations it should list an owner name which should be the shortname for the account, along with the permissions. Might want to do a man on chown and chgrp which are the commands to change a file's owner a
