published a short book on Ibooks. If you are not familiar with him, he is the
CEO of Serotek, a company primarily employed by blind people in both software &
some hardware development. His book is titled Clou

You can open the PDF in nisus writer pro, and when mark up your headings for
table of content quick and easy, and when save as epub.

wouldn't really be feasible. Word and Pages documents can be imported into

Pages can create epub documents with a table of contents readable by iBooks.
You'd need to copy the text from the PDFs into Pages then set all the headings
to the correct levels. Pages can then create a table of contents and you can
export the file to EPUB format.

It's certainly worth looking into. Thanks, Tim! I guess for now that would mean
I could only read them on an iPad, which I don't yet have, but when Mavericks
comes out I'll be able to read them on my Mac too. Woot!
