Indeed you can. Open VO Utility, Go to Verbosity, then select the text tab and
you will be able to change the pitch shift options in there.

Mountain Lion, you have to go to the program update and look for new updates.
When you do, you will find a bunch of new voices amongst other things. Just
update everything and you'll be good to go. All the bugs in

up your own.
I use Shift, Command, N to open it up. Works great.
