Hello, Only force a shutdown if really really necessary. I find it quicker to control and eject then enter as I am using a Apple wired keyboard with my Mac Mini. I am not sure what Mac keyboard you are using. Have you tried cmd + tab or VO+F2 twice? Try and find out what is causing the problem
