Hi Now, here's something I've done quite a few times. The general process of opening up the Mac Mini is as follows: 1. Get a putty knife or other flat instrament. If you don't want to scratch the case, plastic is best although with a stronger metal knife this is actually easier but much more likely

I wouldn't risk doing this if I were you for the simple reason, one the casing has been tampered with, unless one knows what they're doing, the Mac Mini would be hard to put back together again. If it shuts down, chances are, it's a safety feature, although it shouldn't; Mac Minis run fair
