Hi: I have growl installed. In skype, it announces that there is an incoming
message but it doesn't speak anything about. Is it the case I am doing wrong
with any parameter?

Even without self-voicing, I find apps like Adium and Skype quite accessible.
It might be less convenient but I wouldn't call it less accessible.

I guess I'm looking at it as an equal access question. If I want a chat
communications app to be 'accessible' then it wasn't unreasonable to
download and configure Growl to make that happen. Not quite equal but
quite doable, like adding a screen reader. So do we cross some line when
a chat app
Apparently it's still an open source project, and the $2 is to support the
project. According to an article I read on I think Mac World, the source code
is still available from the growl site. So if you know how to build something
from source, you could go that route.

Hi. I downloaded the new version of Growl but didn't notice any changes besides
the history thing. I still experience alerts not spoken automatically when
using the Nuance voices with Voice Over. I'm still having to press the control
key twice in order to hear them.
