Hi,
When you turn your new Mac, after pressing Enter to select English for the
language, you'll get a spoken message telling you how to turn on VoiceOver to
complete the setup, and itwill also tell you how to go through the Quick Start
guide, if you want.

Hit command f five to turn voicover on.
As far as snow lepard goes, just put the CD in, and just let it spin.
you will notice that the install will take less time than the lepard
install
