Really! I haven't tried copying txt from a web page, so maybe that's
why I haven't experienced that.

pages, this is not doable. I've found that to be the case on my Mac, running
10.6.2. It's always been the case for me from the beginning of 10.6.

You can do this in two ways: You can interact with the text, and then press VO
return to start selection. Then select the text you wanna copy by pressing vo
right arrow. When you are finnish, press VO return again and press command c to
copy the text to your clipboard.
