this is just the icon, which is a shortcut to the now-deleted mailbox. It won't
go away. I realize now that I probably should have removed the icon from the
favorites bar before I deleted the mailbox.

Sorry, I can't test this right now as I don't have anything similar anymore,
but, usually, they can just be drug off the Favourites bar. For the sighted
user, it's kind of a flick thing, just grab ahold of the Mailbox you wish to
remove and flick it off of the bar. As long as the mouse is
