thanks, I didn’t know finder was capable of this! This is great to know!

Actually,
I'd have to look, but I kind of recall seeing transmit in the app store.
I'd have a look, as last I recall, I kind a do remember seeing it there

I'd do it in a pinch, if I had to, admittedly, but I'd try making that be a

Hi Caitlyn, The best FTP program I've used is transmit. I don't
believe its available on the app store. Just do a google search for
it. Its very VO accessible, and you can upload and download. One thing
I like about it, during a download it not only gives you a percentage
but also time remaining.

You can't upload with it either which I'm not thrilled with, unless something
has changed. If you have an account on someone's server, a lot of people will
want you to contribute, so would need something you can do both with.

Using Finder for ftp is a really bad idea. Unless you're using a super
fast connection with a super fast server, you're going to get a lot of
'Finder Busy' messages with VoiceOver and it'll drive you crazy.

It's just a user preference. I didn't say one was worse nor better than the

Interesting. I have one machine running Mavericks which still has bash
3.2.51 so Apple has stuck with the old rev for now. The chsh command
lets you configure the shell for a particular user. Mine is set to

Transmit is what I use most of the time, but it does have a few VO quirks in
