I've just tested it again in pretty bad artificial lighting where it had to use
the flash and it identified red, blue and green, as well as calling fawn grey.
Could you be holding the iPhone either too close or too far away? Also, I'm
using an iPhone 4, not the 4S.

I am receiving the same results. Basically, my $.99 has allowed me to know
that everything is White/Grey/brown. What a boring World!
