Hi there There are several commands which are already built into voiceover for using your braille display. Commands like plus the letter E for example, are the return key or enter.Plus the D means delete. Then you can map keys on your braille display to voice over commands. Regards Gigi Sent fr

How do you do VO on a braille display when using the Mac? I've not used my braille display very much with a Mac, and because I've not had a computer for over a month, I've not had the opportunity to use my braille display with a Mac. Kawal. On 5 Jan 2013, at 01:34 AM, Eugenia Firth wrote: >

I tried the interaction command with the braille command and I was not taken to the message text. Rather, it interacted with the sender of the message. However, space with E sends the return key to the Mail App and then the message will open. Les On Jan 4, 2013, at 8:19 PM, Scott Davert wrot

Hi Steve and Kristeen Although it probably won't do everything that's wanted, I did figure out how to get into a message with the braille display so it can be read. It seems to work every time. If you press spacebar and the letter e, it's like doing the return key. I've done it several times thi

Hi again Kristeen. Well, I discovered that it doesn't always work. I got it to work the first time, but when I tried it again, it didn't work. In fact, it's real strange. It interacts and then says dimmed, even though it's still there and everything. I got the space D to work to delete an email.

Thanks Iggie, I'll try that. You can customize some things under Braille in the Voiceover utility, but you can only customize the choices that are offered and so many things are not. Apple has a way to go with their Braille support on the Mac. I'm hoping it's better on the iOS platform. I've he

HI Gigi. She was asking about VO plus J, which jumps to the text content of an email mesage. This is different than interacting with an item. I'm not trying to be rude or anything like that, I just thought I should clerify. Unless I'm the one off base here? Scott On 1/4/13, Scott Davert wrote: >

Hi. I have created my own command for this space with J. You can create keyboard commands on the display, however, they can only be for VoiceOver specific keyboard commands. For example, VO plus J works fine, but command Q, which is an OSX command, will not work. Apparently there is some kind of Ap
