JavaScript feature in HTML 5. There us a function to use the search bar. Most
browsers have an override for. Not sure about Safari.

Odd. Not happening here. In Safari Preferences General there is a
Default search engine popup button. You should be able to pick Google,
Yahoo or Bing, close that window and be done. Is that not happening for you?
