I didn’t have to turn bluetooth on to make calls from my Mac. It just worked
after I made sure the box was checked in FaceTime preferences.

I’d imagine call fidelity wouldn’t be the clearest as it is using blue tooth to
work.

My iMac sounds wonderful and my Macbook air isn't bad either.

I tried and tried to turn over a new leaf.
I got crumpled wads of tear-stained paper

It has worked both ways for me. I have to say that the quality wasn’t
spectacular though so I’ll probably only use it when really helpful. My phone
usually sounds terrific but my Mac sounds like an old cell phone, LOL.

I don't vo-space on it; I hit enter. Not sure if that matters or not.

Hello,
I’ve used both VO Space as well as enter without making any difference.

I have not upgraded to Yosemite but the Podcast I heard demonstrating
this feature seemed to say you use the enter key rather than VO Space on
the number.

Did you make sure after connecting wifi on both devices that bluetooth is
turned on and that you are still signed into iCloud on both?

Hi Joseph,
When you arrow or VO down Below where iPhone says call using iPhone is dimmed,
do you see the number? If so, press enter on the number and the call will
connect.
Does that work?

So, Yosemite installed, working decently, tried the calling thing, it doesn't
work. It's checked on iPhone and mac.
What am I doing wrong? I am on wifi on both devices.

Hello,
Disconnected ethernet and activated Wi-Fi on the same network with the iPhone.
Then restarted both devices.
Still NoGo.

Hello,
I am using ethernet on my iMac but they are both on the same network. Perhaps
that’s the problem. But why wouldn’t it work through ethernet over the local
Wi-Fi network.
Ok, I’ll switch to Wi-Fi on my Mac and see what gives.

If you go below the choice on the mac that says the iPhone is dimmed,
you should see the number (if it is a number), that you've chosen to call.

I switched off the Wi-Fi on my iPhone. After about a minute
Hi Joseph. You have to turn off wifi on both your iPhone and your iMac. When I
did this, everything worked.
