dilution that “Text Selection” was not available while reading an e-mail
message. I just tried it on one in my InBox and — wahLah - it works just fine.
I wonder what in the Sam Hell made me think “Text Selection” was not
The other option is to use the text selection rotor options and then
go to edit and select copy. Then do the same with paste. Either way
you slice it, this will be a multistep process.

that doesn’t work for some reason I’ll go through the extra step of first
pasting it into just a note, so I have a text, and then delete the extra
characters there, and then re-copy just what I want.

Since this feature is only a VO feature, it is meant to copy all of the text VO
just spoke. That would include links, table messages, etc. I just delete the
extra stuff after I paste it into the app.
