Confirmed. iOS 13.1.2 has a larger (or at least easier to locate) Status Bar.

Hi,
You can go to accessibility/VoiceOver/commands and assign a touch gesture to go
to the status bar. This works everywhere except on the home screen.

Dave, I’m using an iPhone ten r, and I use a single finger drag down from the
top to open the control center. I was only suggesting if you couldn’t find the
status bar on the home screen, then you can always get it in the control
center, but evidently you’re working with an iPhone 8 and you stil
Hi Dave,
Yes, I was getting the same frustrations with the status bar as you, but I’ve
since added vertical navigation to my rotor thanks to Maria, and the problem
is solved. I usually don’t like to add things to the rotor without more of an
explanation as to what it does, but figured I’d hav
But, Phil…don’t you first have to find the status bar before you can do a
three-finger upward swipe to open the Control Center? Since I found the status
bar in the first place, it makes no sense to then open the Control Center. It’s
a Catch-22.

Yep. Definitely a lot harder to find, now. iPhone 8 with iOS 13.1.
Installing 13.1.1 as I write. Getting to that status bar is a real pain, and I
use it a lot to determine Wi-Fi strength, battery charge level, and time of
day. Hope they fix that soon. Off to write to accessibil...@apple.

So please tell me more about this vertical navigation option in the rotor? How
does it work and is it mainly for the phones without the home button or can we
use it on the 8 as well?

Ah but my usual way of getting to the control panel was to do a three finger
swipe up from the bottom of the screen when I was focused on the status bar.
But I can find the status bar now by putting my finger on the top corner of
the screen and sliding down slowly. Even though I still have an

Hi!
Its so strange that some seems to have big issues with it and some like me
doesn’t have any issues at all.

As I stated in an earlier post, one very good workaround is to go into control
center and swipe left past airplane mode. That kicks right into the status bar.
No fumbling around for it on the home screens, although I still find I can get
to it pretty easy from within most apps.

You need to swipe down very very slowly from the upper right or left corner to
get to it. You’ll hear a lot of clicking going on while you do this but it is
possible. This one threw me at first too.
