Yes, it's listed on the Mountain Lion Page:

Personally, if I still had Snowy kitty, I'd be sorely tempted to upgrade to
Mountain Lion for $19 US rather than to Lion for $30 US. Just saying. :)

I have a late 2009 Macbook Pro, which I upgraded to 8 gigs of ram. I heard
during the keynote that you can upgrade from SL to ML without needing Lion. At
least that's where I think I heard it. lol

So apparently my wife's mid 2007 MacBook has had its last OS upgrade. It
has the RAM, processor speed and disk space but apparently the Intel
GMA950 video chipset gets it kicked to the curb. Oh well, it's had a
good 5 year run so far and hopefully will last a while longer yet.

Ah!
it was? Thanks. I didn't hear that. As often is the case, good job by Apple.

Hi,
may I ask how you know this? Of course, you don't have to go into details if
it would violate any NDA's or personal confidences.

Hi,
again, sorry. I didn't mean to sound like a jerk in my original message. :).
This is a good point. One could probably perform a clean install. I was just
thinking of strictly upgrading over the current OS. I'm not sure if it would
work but, I honestly can't think of a reason why it wou

Yes, you can upgrade to ML from Snow Leopard, but you have to have a late
version of SL, which includes the app store.

Recardo, I guess the way I read it was that you might have known that the
upgrade to ML was not possible from SL and you were giving me a hard time about
suggesting the jump to M: and skipping Lion. Maybe a better way that you could
have responded would have just been to post the question of wea

Hi,
I wasn't trying to be smart. I was just putting the question out there. You
were the one who assumed the person could skip Lion and get Mountain Lion. I
don't know the answer either. I just would doubt it. I mean, Lion costs $30,
and Mountain Lion costs $20. That alone would probably
for lion you need 2gb of ram. if you check the section in the about this mac
item, it should tell you how much ram you have.

Thanks Ricardo.
I didn't want to try an upgrade without knowing for sure. SL is working well
for me at the moment.

Well this was a pleasant response. I an not totally sure if you can I am not
that knowledgeable about it, however I don't see why you couldn't? And maybe
just say that upgrade is not possible or something instead of this smart remark?

You can upgrade from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion. I already tried the

give ML a shot or not.
