I went ahead and got a new mini a few weeks ago even though it had not been
updated since 2014, seeing what Apple has introduced, I do not regret that
decision. It's plenty fast for what I need it to do and the new minis start at
almost twice the price of what I paid for mine.

I'd have to buy a lot of adapters. And just how many USB ports does one

Yeah I've just watched it this evening due to time zoning and work getting in
the way of being able to watch it this morning.
I've just checked out the full specs on the apple website and I gotta admit
both the Air and the Mini do come across as nice sounding devices.
