Well,
I would like to receive the information you were posting.
Besides, some people may not be good with navigating the web, therefor it is
helpful.

Hi Monitors,
It would be nice to have some clarification on this matter. The one that now
seems to think it's okay to post from MacDailyationews is the one who
complained that this type of spam was cluttering the list. I myself will choose
which of these topics interest me or which ones I need
For what it's worth, all the bickering back and forth has created more
spam (including this email) than anything else. I guess if general
concensus is to let him spam, then spam away. I've just filtered all
emails from him to /dev/null via procmail, so it's not a bother any longer.

I came back to 20 messsages having been forwarded. If you want news, get
it on the web as has already been stated. This list, from what I
understand was for questions, not news updates. Just because you can't
be bothered to go get all the same announcements he is doesn't mean
nnoone else will.
What I mean is Mac Rumours. So where is Mac Facts?

Ok where is the official description for this list? Usually one gets
this information in the welcome email after subscribing but I never saw it.

I think when he might have meant is that this is not a news aggregator site.
Instead, it's a site for troubleshooting problems that were having with
software and such. Do I sense a flame war coming on here? I hope not.

Chris, one thing that might be considered. Just this week alone, 3
days, you posted 16 of these. Perhaps being more selective would be welcome.

Hi,
I would just say that this list is pretty busy as it is, and anyone who wants
can subscribe to RSS, Twitter feeds or whatever to get these kind of news
stories if they want to, but if people want it to be for news on here as well
then maybe I'll do some unsubscribing in other places :)

No Chris,
You don't have to stop it altogether. Just don't spam it :) You seem really
keen on letting us all know about the news and that's great, but there are
other ways to share it correctly without flooding the space. Like i said, a
digest. Or even some kind of stream on twitter.
Cheers,
Oh forget it I will just carry on until the owners say to stop.

If THAT is all that annoyed some people, than asking Chris if he

Sometimes its just too easy to slam the messenger whose only fault
is sharing information.
Kawal, nice job on the dictation. I need to try it sometime.

The things that's really annoyed me about these posts, were that there were so

Christopher could have pasted just the relevant message rather than links and

So, because you didn't see the point, someone else is supposed to modify their
behavior? In case you didn't catch that, the emphasis was on the pronoun
"you."

I didn't really see the point, since it didn't really fit into the purpose
of this list.

Christopher,
I was actually enjoying the updates. I found them timely, after last weeks

Well, it's definitely not spam as it pertains to the list. And, it's certainly
more interesting then hearing the same questions over and over again from
certain people.

Well unless the list owner says to stop, why stop? But providing a

get it themselves.
From what I read, some of the news should be of interest to the list
anyway.
