Ugh! It is a pain. Hopefully it won’t happen to you again. If it does, try
Tim’s suggestion of holding down the power button for ten seconds. It’s a lot
easier than resetting it. :)

the difference between silent mode and theater mode, because I don’t use either
of them—though I definitely get you getting tired of the various noises. After

Theatre Mode and Silent Mode will not affect VoiceOver. I have mine in Silent
Mode 100% of the time. I get annoyed with all the dings, dangs, bings, bongs,
tinks and whatever other onomatopoeia noises I can come up with :).
