Just a question here. How do you use the sonos controler from the Mac? As far
as i know there are tons of unlabeled buttons and such, enough so that it’s
hard or almost impossible to use. Surely we could label the buttons ourselves
if we had sighted people around
reat wifi speakers with upgradable software

Airfoil supports many apps for media play that might not be otherwise supported

I could be wrong because I haven't done this in a while, but I believe if you
run airfoil speakers on your mac, the iPhone will see that as an airplay device
you can send audio to.

Hey Darcy,
I managed to get it working so that I can get audio from my mac to the IPhone
via airfoil and airfoil speakers touch. However, how can I make it so that I
can hear the IPhone audio and control it with the mac?
Thanks.

Hi Matt. What you want to do is do a VO shift m on the sources button. This
will bring up a menu where you select the source you want.

Try running an audio application with Airfoil running. It should then appear
in the sources selection.

It lets you stream what's playing from your computer to your IPhone
wirelessly.

Hi Marlaina,
Airfoil is a program that lets you send audio from your mac to any other
computer that has the free airfoil speakers program installed and running, or
to any airport express that is connected to a stereo or set of powered speakers
somewhere in your house.

Hi Mary. I think all the dimmed items in the audio sources list are like
headings. For example, the first item in my list is applications, which is
dimmed, followed by all the apps I've used with airfoil in the past.

Well, maybe I spoke too soon. I see two system audios in the audio sources
listing, and the first one is dimmed, but the second is not. That leads to the
question of why this choice should appear twice in the audio sources menu.
Interesting.

Hi again Darcy,
I just checked and system audio is dimmed as an audio source. I definitely did
install sound flower. The first time I tried it, I got an error, so had to
retry and then it installed ok. Any ideas why system audio should be dimmed?

Hi Mary. The way to make this work is to have airfoil transmit the system
audio to your airport express. This should be the last option in your airfoil
sources list. You do need to have sound flower installed, but this isn't the
