Mail has been much less responsive, AKA lagging, for me ever since upgrading to
Mountain Lion. I kinda thought it might be that my iMac just couldn't handle
Mountain Lion, but this doesn't make any sense as everything else works really
well. But there seems lots of lag when deleting messages in
If this is related to deleting messages, I have been able to delete mail with
speech in progress. My problem is that it takes a long time before one can
delete messages from the G Mail folder; the messages just don't appear there
for long periods of time.

I just realized that another solution to this problem is simply to hit control
to pause speech before hitting delete.
