Yes; as long as you don't format the entire disk, and only wipe the Macintosh HD partition, you will be able to use the recovery partition. However, in case your hard drive crashes, it would be a better idea not to rely on the recovery partition all the time. A cheap 8GB USB flash disk or SD car
