Yeah I know that 2012 Macs and above can run Catalina but the original poster
said that they were running Snow Leopard on a 2014 MacBook Air which I thought
was impossible seeing as how most newer Macs come with the OS that was released
at the time that particular model was released and couldn't
The Mac I a writing this message is on is a 2012 Macbook pro with Catalina on
it and it works perfectly well.

I have a Macbook Air late 2013 vintage, I believe. I purchased in
January of 2014.
The machine has 8Gb RAM and 512 HD It has no issues running latest
Catalina.
