I wish there was. I have asked Apple Accessibility for a keyboard short cut to return VO speech to the inbuilt output. Here's hoping they fix the issue in Mavericks. Until they do, I just don't use bluetooth headsets with my Mac. I'm going to try to get some non-bluetooth wireless headset but I

Alex, I've had that sort of thing happen on one of my older XServe's at work. They don't have built-in sound so I use either USB speakers or USB headset. I've just tried it in the first state, whether VO was on or off I wouldn't know. If it didn't work, then I just pressed cmd-w a few times,

Well, I can't even tell if VO is on, since I toggled a few times hoping it would return to normal before I asked the list what I should do. I can't get the system preferences suggestion to work either way. Hopefully a sighted family member will come home soon. Oh, and as to shutting down, I'd re

Lost voiceover audio after playing with Bluetooth headset…

'Hi all, I was playing with a bluetooth headset today. Now, I can hear system sounds through my regular speakers, but Voiceover is totally silent. What did I do, and more importantly, how do I fix it? The headset is off, so why would vo not return to my speakers if system sounds have? Thanks.
