Hi Andrew,
Absolutely it will work. If you just quit iTunes, then move the entire
Music/iTunes directory onto your external storage device, and then restart
iTunes with the Option key held down, you can choose your library’s new
location. Just don’t forget to leave that drive connected whenev
Dear Sabahattin,
Yes, it makes it all clear. I just wanted to confirm my thinking about it with
somebody who clearly knows much more about this.
I shall seriously consider whether it's worth my while to continue subscribing
to iTunes match. My mac has 500GB drive which seems to me not to be v
Hi Andrew,
If you upload to iTunes Match from a lossless file in your library, the copy in

That's very clear. Just one last thing; having imported a cd into my itunes

Hi Sabahattin,
Thank you so much for such a detailed description of the choices in converting

this way

MP3 produces smaller files that are extremely compatib
Hi,
When importing cd's into iTunes, I see that I have a choice of encoders.

or most universal or useful encoder?
Many thanks for your opinions.
Andrew
