I'm afraid, it's didn't retain anything. However, I was able to retrieve some
backups from a very old file. I am now in the middle of getting current
information about my contacts that I have.

As long as you haven’t turned off iCloud backup, it should at least 1 current
copy of your backups.

Hi.
I lost all my contacts recently and have just managed to get back on the Net
today.
Does anyone know if Apple keep copies of back ups as I am needing to restore
all my contacts which took years to acquire.
If anyone knows the answer, please get in touch as all my contacts have been
lost.
