With help from this list I have now gotten PontesMediaDownloader to run on
Monterey, but cannot fathom out how to use it.
I went to the File menu and pasted the URL of a youtube video which I wanted to
download into the URL field. I left all other fields as their default values
as I want
This is a good tip, that I should have thought of.
When you open the Shortcut menu and select Open, you are running the
application as the administrator, and this enables the application to run
normally going forward.

that way. That’s the one thing I miss about Big Sur, Command O worked for
opening apps the first time.

Application. Alas this does not run on Monterey as Monterey refuses to open the
App as it cannot identify the developer. I have my security options set to
download from App Store and Identified developers.
