When I start Growl prefs from the System Prefs here, it opens the 32 bit version of Prefs. I'm running Snow Leopard, not Lion, but I'm wondering if Jen and others who are having growl issues don't have that 32-bit preference pane anymore now that everything's 64-bit? I thought the latest Growl
