Gmail does not work in a tradiitional fashion. What you are
experiencing is absoutely normal and expected behavior for mailing
lists. If you don't like it, you will need to vist every mailing list
you subscribe to and turn this off.

It's not a huge deal, but was just an observation.

I think this is the nature of mailing lists. Every message you send to
the list gets re-sent to every member. So that means, as a member, you
also get a copy back.
